Seeing as we are in Houston, Texas, and off the beaten path, having a celebrity stop by Abejas makes our day. Sarah McLachlan came into Abejas, and although not everyone may have spent their college years lamenting over heart breaks with Sarah’s music as the soundtrack to their lives…it was such a unique experience for us to have her shopping in the store. Moyna, a new line for us, has awakened our passion for clothing that dazzles. Now our mannequins are dripping in sequins, as we would like to be. For daytime, we are pairing these vests with white tanks and jeans, a sort of playful and low-key way to wear sequins during the day- which is completely acceptable and adds a bit of chutzpah to your everyday routine.

We have just unpacked these amazing leather bags. We are loving the simplicity of their designs as well as the evident attention to detail in their craftsmanship. Numero 10 was launched in 2004 from the creativeness of designer, Alberto Mondini. Unpacked yesterday, blogging about it today, you know its good!
This dress has been paired with Golden Goose riding boots and a denim jacket for a
more casual look as well as brown wedges for evening. Beyond Vintage does a great job
of taking inspiration from vintage clothing and tweaking it for today’s fashions.
This ivory top would look amazing with white skinny jeans and tall riding boots. We don’t believe in the “rules”
regarding white after Labor Day. Rock it!

Here in Houston we get glimpses of cool dry weather, it’s mainly at 5am or 11pm, but it’s worth it for a moment. At Abejas we are receiving huge shipments of sweaters and scarves, long sleeve shirts, even cords…and our temp is still right around 90 degrees. The only thing more fun than imagining wearing all of these fall clothes is letting you know about them. Seeing how excited even our Houston clients are getting for a change of pace makes us smile. New seasons bring a fresh start, something we love.
